Allen Ginsberg was arrested at Rocky Flats on August 9, 1978. The Jefferson County Sheriffs took a mugshot and asked him for a hand writing sample. He wrote “O unhappy Plutonian Day! Nagasaki radiance remains, remembrance in bodies of many on both hemispheres! Here I walk and breathe and speak and write, in a jail cell in Golden! And Jack Kerouac fourty years ago in Denver wrote in lyric mode, “I wanna go to Golden!”
